The New Notary Taxes Tariff in Bulgaria (in force from 1st of July 2009)

From 1st of July 2009 there is a new Notary Taxes Tariff which amends the amount of the notary fees related with the transfer of the Titles. The base for calculation of the notary fees remains the amount of the purchase price. The New Notary Public Fee Schedule: Certified material interest in BGN Notary fee in BGN Notary fee ( in BGN)
Under 100 BGN (including 100 BGN) 30 BNG
from 101 to 1 000 BGN 30 + 1,5 % for the amount over 100 BGN
from 1001 to 10 000 BGN 43,50 + 1,3 % for the amount over 1 000 BGN
from 10 001 to 50 000 BGN 160,50 + 0,8 % for the amount over 10 000
from 50 001 to 100 000 BGN. 480,50 + 0,5 % for the amount over 50 000
from 100 000 500 000 BGN. 730,50 + 0,2 % for the amount over 100 000
over 500 000 BGN 1530,50 + 0,1 % for the amount over 500 000 but not more then 6000 BGN
The tax fee remains unchanged and it depends on the policy of each municipality (usually the tax rate is 2,5 %).
All other points explained in our article relevant taxes and fees when buying a property in Bulgaria have not been subject of amendments and are still in force.
